JAT-GENDER
In KAUBRU there are four genders: masculine(KLA JAT) gender, feminine(BROI JAT) gender, common(jotoJAT) gender, and neuter(mnoi jat) gender. Words which denote male are masculine, words which denote female are feminine, words which can be both male and female are common gender, and words which cannot be either masculine or feminine and neuter gender.

●Brouhha- man is masculine
●Brouhma-woman - is feminine
Chrai-child - common gender
Mphang-tree - neuter Gender
There are various ways to change genders of words:
Using different words
•Msai-husband,bihih-wife
•phayung-brother,hanou-sister
•kching-male friend.kchingyuhfemale friend
Adding kla and broi at the end of the masculine word
•Kla sihkhla-young man,broisihkhla-young woman
Adding 'A' and Yuh in masculine word
•msala-son ,msayuh-daughter
•Mkra-father-in-law | mkrayuh-mother-in-law
Words of common gender are made masculine by adding suffixes, like ha, kla/la, and feminine by adding ma, Yuh/youh ,Broi
